The Digital Banking Club successfully held its latest Live Debate on Thursday, June 19th from 8:00am to 11:00am.
As part of London Technology Week 2014, at the Honourable Artillery Company on the topic:
The Mobile Wallet already exists. It is called Mobile Banking!
For many years banks have felt threatened by a range of standalone mobile payments services e.g. PayPal, Google Wallet, Square, Isis etc. By combining a range of assets unique to banks (such as use of established mobile banking login and trust models, access to the Faster Payments network and the ATM network), they are finally able to build a decent defence against these innovative disruptors.
