Jonathan Minter graduated The University of Nottingham with a BA in History with Contemporary Chinese Studies and an MA in History. He started writing for Motor Finance as an intern at the end of 2012, and was recruited as a reporter in 2013. Following a promotion to senior reporter, Jonathan was made deputy editor of Motor Finance in 2014, and editor in 2015.

Chris is the Head of Operations for New Business at MotoNovo Finance, the highly innovative, multi-award-winning finance company, which today is a well recognised leader in dealer finance in the UK. Appointed to his latest role in July 2017, Chris has held a series of senior leadership roles in the fast-growing business he joined over 15 years ago. During his time with MotoNovo Finance, Chris has overseen a range of disciplines including operations, sales and collections. Within these, and in line with the MotoNovo Finance business principle of; ‘leading through innovation and change,’ he has been involved actively in embracing new technology, helping the business to adapt to the rigours of new regulation and ensuring the business maintains a highly customer centric edge. Before joining MotoNovo Finance, Chris’s career saw him working at for Chartered Trust and Fortis Insurance. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Business Economics.

Joanne Davis is a Partner at Locke Lord LLP and Head of the Firm's Asset, Leasing & Consumer Finance division in the UK. Jo is a leading UK leasing lawyer and handles a range of matters from financial services, consumer credit regulation and compliance to transactional matters, finance litigation and dispute resolution. Jo assists clients on new product innovation, product reviews and product launches in a variety of sales channels and offers general regulatory advisory services to include setting up UK consumer finance or leasing businesses that are new to regulation and financial services in the UK to corporate governance, approved persons and the senior managers’ regime.

Head of Digital, Peugeot, Citroen & DS Automobiles UK

Maria joined the PSA Group as a graduate trainee in the IT department and has had the opportunity to work in many different areas of the business; Manufacturing, Parts Logistics, Dealers and Sales & Marketing systems. In 2015 Maria moved into Digital and became the project manager for the PSA pilot project of eCommerce for Peugeot UK. Maria's objective was to build an excellent and comprehensive online journey enabling customers to order their dream car online in under 30 minutes including a guaranteed part exchange valuation and a real-time finance underwriting decision. They launched on 12th January 2017 and took their first order within 12 hours.

Managing Director, Moneybarn

Shamus Hodgson is Managing Director of Moneybarn. Shamus joined Moneybarn in 2008 and has been part of the senior team that has grown the company from a niche finance provider to the UK’s largest specialist motor finance company. He has fulfilled several roles during his time at the company, including Sales & Marketing Director and Commercial Director. Prior to joining Moneybarn, Shamus has over 15 years’ business development and organisation management experience with blue chip organisations such as IBM, Aviva, and Manpower.

David Webber

David Webber

Chief Executive Officer, Whistlebrook

David brings with him over 20 years hands on experience of the financial services software industry and a wealth of experience including delivering software solutions to the vehicle and asset finance sector. David is a Board Advisor to Intelligent Environments and CEO of Whistlebrook Limited. At Whistlebrook his focus is developing industry partnerships and deepening their market penetration. Prior to joining Whistlebrook as investor & CEO in July 2017 David was Managing Director of Intelligent Environments for five years, responsible for its diversification into the vehicle finance and debt collection verticals. Prior to this David was CEO at Patsystems Group the provider of electronic trading, risk and exchange systems for six years. Before this he spent 8 years as the CEO and Managing Director of retail financial systems provider, AttentiV. The AttentiV business provided finance and collections software to the vehicle and asset finance industry as well as the UK mortgage market. The business was subsequently acquired by Sopra and now forms the Sopra Steria UK banking business.
