Douglas is Group Editor, Consumer Finance at Verdict, chief of judges for the annual Retail Banker International Awards and lead market advisor for Verdict’s retail banking research division. This division produces and maintains more than 50 market leading research reports and has undertaken bespoke consultancy projects for banks, vendors and their advisors. Douglas practiced as a solicitor in Scotland before moving into business information and analysis. He maintains an editorial advisory board of leading bank executives and is a regular guest banking analyst with BBC, NBC, New Statesman and other leading media.

Three decades ago, Anne Boden pioneered the UK’s first same-day payment service – and in the process transformed the future of electronic money. Today, that revolutionary zeal continues to inform her work at Starling Bank, the mobile-only current account app she launched earlier this year. Recently recognised as one of the Global Power Women in FinTech, Anne’s worked at a senior leadership level across some of the world’s best-known financial heavyweights, among them Lloyds and Royal Bank of Scotland. It was during her tenure as CEO of Allied Irish Banks, however, that she begun to explore the exciting potential of financial technology for transforming customer’s everyday lives. At heart a tech start up with a banking licence, Starling is a challenger bank built on a foundation of disruptive emerging technology, working to take on traditional legacy banks and help people to develop a healthier relationship with their money.

Hilda Jenkins

Hilda Jenkins

Digital Experience and Engagement Director, Barclays

Hilda Jenkins is helping the bank transform and bringing intuitive, frictionless, seamless digital experiences and engagement to the bank’s customers on web and mobile channels. She is responsible for the creation of the customer experience strategy for Barclays UK Digital Channels, and created a best-in-class mobile first strategy for the bank. Jenkins helped to deliver the first mobile site for ASOS.com and was head of technology at Tesco.

Pol Navarro

Pol Navarro

Digital Innovation and Transformation Director, TSB Bank

Pol Navarro is currently digital innovation and transformation director at TSB Bank as well as a keynote and associate professor of digital business at ESADE Business School. He was previously head of digital transformation at Banco Sabadell. Navarro is a highly qualified digital business, customer service and e-commerce strategist, and a recognised thought leader who has spoken internationally on several banking, mobile and internet conferences. He studied computer sciences at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.

At present, Chief Digital & Innovation Officer of Mediobanca Group. Previously General Manager at CheBanca!, the digital and multi-channel bank of Mediobanca Group, first Bank in Europe to launch a BTC Robo-Advosor and awarded in last four years in a row as the best online bank in Italy. Author of the book: "L' Era del FinTech" (2016, F. Angeli), being translated in English (“Fintech Era”, 2017) WSJ's Financial News 2016 & 2015 Top 40 Fintech Influencer in Europe and 2017, 2016 & 2015 Digital Banking Club Power 50 in European digital financial services. Former Western Europe Marketing Director at Procter&Gamble. MSc degree in Public Policy at the University College of London (UCL).

Will Beeson

Will Beeson

Head of Operations and Innovation, Civilised Bank

Will Beeson is part of the founding team and head of operations and innovation at UK challenger bank CivilisedBank. After starting his career as an analyst at Citigroup in New York, Beeson spent seven years in Europe advising and managing financial services companies through the 2008 financial crisis and subsequent European sovereign crisis. He is a writer and frequent speaker at banking and fintech conferences, and is the creator and host of Rebank: Banking the Future, a leading fintech podcast. He is also a chartered financial analyst charterholder.

Simon Cadbury

Director of Strategy and Innovation, Intelligent Environments

Simon is a product marketer and strategist with 18 years’ experience working for a range of major international brands. Simon’s role is to work with Intelligent Environments’ investors to set and deliver the company’s mid and long term strategy, as well as overall responsibility for the product development and management of Interact; the company's core product offering. Simon joined in 2013 from Lloyds Banking Group where he was responsible for payment technology and also sat on the Credit Card divisions leadership team. Prior to this he worked on the launch of a number of firsts in new technology – the Blackberry (BT Cellnet), BT Openzone (BT Retail), 3G Live! (Vodafone Australia) and Sky HD (BSKYB).
