Korean credit card companies have launched a new non-ActiveX online payment service, One Click.

Korean credit card companies have launched a new non-ActiveX online payment service, One Click, to enable customers to make credit card payments for online purchases without the need of digital signatures.

Major Korean credit card companies including Shinhan Card, Samsung Card, Hyundai Card have started to roll out the new service gradually from December 29.

One Click payment system which allows card payment by providing user ID number and a password will eliminate the use of Active X, a software framework created by Microsoft in 1996 and public key certificates thereby enriching Korean e-commerce systems.

KB Kookmin Card, Hana Card BC Card and Lotte Card have also adopted the service at the end of 2014.
