Kickstarter replaces Amazon Payments with Stripe

Kickstarter has replaced Amazon with Silicon Valley payment service startup Stripe as its global payments processor.

US-based crowdsourced fundraising website Kickstarter has replaced Amazon with Silicon Valley payment service startup Stripe as its global payments processor.

The switch comes as the Amazon is phasing out Amazon Flexible Payments in favor of a new Login and Pay service directed towards an Amazon-branded checkout service.

The new system will not require registering for an Amazon Payments business account allowing the users to pay by entering their bank account details on the Account tab while drafting a project on the fundraising site.

The new service will be fully functional from next week when Kickstarter moves all its projects to the Stripe payment system.
