Contineo rolls out new structured products network in Asia

Contineo has launched a new open messaging network for selling equity-linked structured products to private banking firms

Contineo, a Hong Kong-based technology firm, has launched a new open messaging network for selling equity-linked structured products to private banking and wealth management firms.

The new network is backed by AG Delta, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan and Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.

The open multi-issuer network will enable subscribers to access their counter-parties via a web-based interface and a set of open application programming interfaces (APIs).

Powered by AG Delta’s application architecture, the technology is expected to go live in early 2015.

Contineo is now targeting private banks and implementing connectivity to issuers, as well as working with other certified third party technology companies.

For the launch, Contineo has hired Mark Munoz as new managing director.

The company said it aims to set up a unified communications network using the FIX protocol and RESTful web services for participants.

The network has been designed to lower costs, increase product access and assist in risk management and compliance.
