Visa has introduced a new VDEP that connects FIs and technology companies to simplify and accelerate the launch of new payment services.
Based on the company’s secure token technology, the new program includes a toll-free commercial framework available to over 14,500 Visa financial institution clients and technology partners across the world.
Visa said that Google’s Android Pay is its first partner to take part in the Digital Enablement Program.
The program features fast and easy integration, no-cost commercial framework, robust security and consumer data protection and international scale and reach.
VDEP will provide banks and technology partners with a platform that delivers secure mobile and digital payment services on a global scale.
Visa innovation and strategic partnerships executive vice president Jim McCarthy said: “Through our new program, financial institutions can take advantage of our secure token technology to deliver the most popular mobile and digital payment services on the market today to their customers.”
