PayPal to expand One Touch Web payments service to UK, Canada
PayPal is set to expand its One Touch Web payments service to UK and Canada following its launch in the US last month.
The service allows users to pay for their goods on third-party websites using a single log in, eliminating the need to re-enter passwords or their user Ids.
Braintree, a subsidiary of PayPal, has implemented One Touch tool to allow payment processing for online merchants.
The service also enables shoppers to select a mobile payment provider of their choice for a seamless checkout experience.
PayPal said that the next countries to get One Touch will be coming this summer but refused to disclose details.
Companies like Airbnb, Lyft, YPlan and Boxed have adopted the new One Touch for web, and PayPal claims that it led to a noticeable increase in sales.
