Purewrist unveils contactless bracelet
American startup PureWrist has unveiled a silicone bracelet that contains an embedded NFC cost chip to make contactless payments at stores.
Licensed by MasterCard and issued by Sunrise Bank, the PureWrist bracelet uses a mini pre-paid MasterCard debit card, called Gratitude.
Funds are loaded through a simple online platform that allows seamless tracking and management of your Gratitude account.
All funds deposited on to the Gratitude card will be stored in an FDIC-insured account, where users can easily check their balance and reload funds.
Bracelet will be available at cost of $40 and the company will charge a monthly subscription fee of $4.99. The device is scheduled to ship this September.
