Earthport inks cross-border payments deal with Japan Post Bank
Earthport, a provider of cross-border payment services, has entered into a cross-border payments agreement with Japan Post Bank.
As part of the deal, Earthport will provide cross-border remittance services to the bank’s customers. The bank will leverage Earthport’s dynamic single point access for cross-border payments.
Earthport said it is also in talks with a number of other post banks for providing cross-border services.
The partnership will also allow Earthport to provide Japan Post Bank with access to incremental capabilities and reach for customers who need expanded cross border remittance services.
Japan Post Bank provides consumers with financial services through local post offices and ATM’s across Japan. It is a member of Eurogiro, the International electronic funds transfer system between the postal services of the member countries.
