Andhra Bank partners with Chillr for mobile payment service
Andhra Bank has collaborated with mobile payment app Chillr to enable its customers to instantly transfer money to any contact.
The platform, which is available on Android, Windows and iOS operating systems, will directly connect with the clients’ bank account to facilitate transaction across India after registering on the app.
The integration of platform is currently in its pilot phase, and is set to be officially launched during the March.
The payment app offers a range of features, such as special discounts at specific merchants, recharging prepaid mobile phones, DTH and data cards, splitting of bills between friends/colleagues and running a quick check on one’s account balance.
Andhra Bank general manager M N Sudhakar said: “we recently adopted IMPS technology as well and both these facilities will help our customers make payment/fund transfer within fraction of seconds and will aid us serve our customers better.
Commenting on the partnership, Chillr founder and CEO Sony Joy said: “With digital banking gaining momentum amongst youngsters, we aspire to create a cashless economy through the Chillr platform. Through this brand synergy, we hope to deliver seamless and fast money payment and fund transfer services to all its customers.”
Based out of India, Chillr is a subsidiary of technology firm called MobME. The beta launch of the payment app was introduced in February 2015 and has nearly five lakh users.
