Global Payments supports Android Pay in Singapore
Global Payments has enabled businesses in Singapore to accept Android Pay.
American payment processor Global Payments has enabled businesses in Singapore to accept Android Pay, which will offer various choices for Android mobile users in-store and in-app.
Users need to add their credit or debit card to the Android Pay app and tap their phone on a contactless terminal to make payments.
Global Payments said that the payment solution does not send actual credit or debit card numbers, but securely create virtual account numbers for transactions.
Global Payments senior vice president of global product and innovation Frank Young said: “Following the successful enablement in the United States and the UK, we are thrilled to support further global expansion of Android Pay in Singapore.”
