Magellan Asset Management implements Vermilion Software’s client reporting solution

Sydney-based Magellan Asset Management has gone live with a new client reporting and communications software from Vermilion Software.

Sydney-based Magellan Asset Management has gone live with a new client reporting and communications software from Vermilion Software.

Vermilion has integrated the asset manager’s existing data sources, customised workflow as well as automated the re-use of data to create a more streamlined reporting solution.

The technology vendor said its software will help Magellan automate marketing material production at varying frequencies for its clients.

The asset manager will now also be able to gain access to Data Mart, Vermilion’s virtual data warehouse that has been designed to lower development and administration costs for traditional repository architecture.

Vermilion global sales and marketing director Simon Cornwell: “This win is extremely significant for Vermilion’s continued growth within Australia. The selection represents a growing interest and demand within the region for best-of-breed software vendors, as opposed to more expensive and time-consuming in-house system builds.

“Our success was largely due to the flexibility of Vermilion Reporting Suite and its ability to source data from any system.”

The partnership with Magellan represents Vermilion’s second one in the asset management sector in 2016. In January, the technology provider had collaborated with Nikko Asset Management.

Magellan oversees global equities and global infrastructure strategies for high net worth, retail and institutional investors.
