Coinbase enters Australian market
Coinbase, a San Francisco-based digital currency exchange provider, has expanded its services to Australia.
Australian customers can now bitcoin and ether using their credit and debit cards. However, users can only buy the digital currency, they cannot sell it.
“We hope to add the ability to sell digital currency as well soon,” the company said in its official blog post.
Along with this launch, Coinbase also introduced the ETH/BTC trading pair on the Global Digital Asset Exchange [GDAX] trading platform for Australian customers.
Users in Australia can get started by visiting the ‘trade’ page on the Coinbase website after creating a Coinbase account. They can use their android or iOS applications, add their credit or debit card, tap on ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ options in order to buy the digital currency.
Coinbase, which has raised more than $100m in four venture rounds, is now open to consumers in 33 countries globally.
