PayPal and Visa have expanded their relationship, under which Braintree merchants will be able use to Visa Checkout payment service.

The online payment service enables Visa cardholders to pay on any connected device, in just a few clicks, using their Visa account.

Starting early 2017, Visa Checkout will be available to US merchants through Braintree’s SDK, which is a seamless integration that offers a simple way for merchants to accept payments.

Visa senior vice president for digital solutions Sam Shrauger said: “With the Visa card at the centre of the payment experience, Visa Checkout brings familiarity and trust to digital shopping offered by Braintree’s customers — some of the most innovative merchants driving ecommerce and m-commerce today.”
