Former NACFB chief launches SME funding platform
The former chief executive of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) has launched a funding platform for UK SMEs.
Tyler stood down as chief executive of NACFB in October 2016 after 11 years in the position and is now managing director of the online platform, FinancemyBusinessonline.
Following an initiative launched by the Treasury in 2014 to make provision for greater access to finance for the SME community, Tyler decided to use his knowledge and connections to launch a new solution.
The platform, now live, provides a matching service between SMEs and lenders.
Once a business inputs its financial requirements, an anonymous preview of the information is provided to lenders who can vote to offer lending or not. It is then up to the SME to choose and connect with a lender.
The platform has around 100 lenders registered including Paragon Bank, iwoca, Funding Circle and Aldemore.
Tyler said “For all of those that know me, they are aware of how passionate I am about raising the awareness of the range of finance that is available to all small business owners.
“They need to be directed to the many ways in which it can be accessed quite easily.”
Tyler said he has taken this platform to MPs in Westminster in a bid to highlight the opportunities for SMEs.
