The software aims to streamline the life insurance sales process for advisers, brokers and web-based firms.

Powered by Synaptic’s Webline technology, the service, launched with The Right Mortgage and Protection Network and insurer Covéa Life, simplifies the process of comparing and purchasing protection products. 

Synaptic Software said Cover Me Now removes the traditional delays that can hinder people from purchasing cover, leaving them without valuable protection and financial security.

Cover Me Now works by asking applicants 14 yes/no medical questions; if they can answer “no” to all of them, they will be given a guaranteed term assurance quote, removing the need for applications to go through insurance providers’ existing underwriting processes.

Adam Byford, managing director at Synaptic Software, said: “Cover Me Now forges a new route for the sale of life insurance. The industry was desperate for a breakthrough from the old and failing ways of selling protection, and this is exactly what the new service delivers. Developed with providers, reinsurers and distributors, Cover Me Now creates a hassle-free customer experience and removes the obstacles in the old process.”

Synaptic said it is already in discussions with a number of distributors and providers who are keen to access Cover Me Now.

New capabilities are expected to be added to Cover Me Now over the coming months, including enabling intermediaries and their clients to secure critical illness and joint life policies.

The service has been introduced to adviser members of The Right Mortgage and Protection Network at a series of roadshows.
