India’s Max Bupa launches machines selling instant health insurance

Max Bupa Health Insurance Company, an Indian assurance firm, has introduced Max Bupa AnyTimeHealth (ATH) machines that enable customers to buy a health insurance plan in just 180 seconds.

Max Bupa is a joint venture (JV) involving Max India Limited and UK-based Bupa Finance, which was set up for the purpose of carrying on health insurance in business in India.

Using ATH machines, customers can instantly complete their health assessment and select the right health insurance plan for themselves and go home with the policy document within three minutes.

The ATH machines targets customers who find health insurance buying either too complicated, or do not have time to insure their health.

Once the prospective buyer registers himself with ATH using email ID and phone number, the machine prompts the buyer for non-intrusive health assessment.

Subsequently, the machine shows automated health insurance policy recommendation based on details entered and test output. Once the customer selects the suitable plan and makes the payment, he is instantly issued the policy document.
