RBC Wealth Management-U.S. has teamed up with alternative investment technology firm Artivest to launch a new cloud-based digital alternative investment platform for HNW customers.
Through the new platform, RBC aims to address the key barriers in the alternative investments space, namely high investment minimums, a paper-intensive subscription process, and non-transparent fund data.
The new offering will offer users access to private equity and hedge funds across various sectors, stages and styles.
The platform will also facilitate a streamlined investment subscription process.
RBC Wealth Management – U.S head of alternative investments Bryan Mullin said: “In today’s volatile, yet innovative, global markets, alternative investments play an important role in building successful and diversified portfolios for high-net-worth investors.
“Through this new platform, our financial advisers have access to an even wider array of solutions to help meet the investment objectives and goals of their qualified clients.”
RBC said that the number of investments processed by the firm increased four times since the inception of the platform as compared to before the launch of the platform. The feat has been achieved without rise in headcount or costs, the company said.
