N26 adds Apple Pay support for Irish customers
N26 has introduced Apple Pay for its customers in Ireland to enable swift and secure payment processes.
The latest move enables the fintech firm’s customers to add their card directly in the N26 app or add the card through the Apple Wallet.
Apple Pay does not store users’ actual card number on the device but instead assigns a unique Device Account Number that is encrypted and securely stored on users’ devices.
All transactions made through Apple Pay are validated with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
N26 international markets head Alexander Weber said: “We have seen huge demand for Apple Pay among our customers in Ireland.
“Supporting Apple Pay in Ireland is another important step in our strategy to couple the most modern technology with financial services across Europe and create a banking experience customers love to use.”
The customers can carry out online shopping in apps and on websites accepting Apple Pay with the Touch ID or with the Face ID feature, eliminating the need to fill lengthy forms or repeatedly provide shipping and billing information.
Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6 and later, iPhone SE, iPad Pro, iPad (5th Generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 and later, as well as Apple Watch.
