Square enhances register service with Square Invoicing

US-based mobile payments company Square has added a new feature called as Square Invoices to its register service, wherein the merchants can send customized bills to clients and collect payments.

The service charges usual 2.75% transaction fee, and sellers can send customers an invoice with a built-in ‘Pay By Card’ link.

A couple of business days after the customer makes payment, the money will be transferred to the seller. If the customers make the payments in-person, the seller would note that manually.

Darianna Bridal owner Franco Salerno said his business is intensely busy and doesn’t have time to track people down for payment.

"Square makes it as easy as sending an email. I love being able to use our item library to easily input what a customer bought, and I especially love the ability to duplicate invoices because we often send several at a time for the same amounts," added Salerno.

"The online invoicing market is growing rapidly as businesses move away from traditional paper methods and look for more efficient ways to manage customer payments," the company stated.

The launch of the additional feature is said to be on the back of the company’s plans to build a potential service for businesses of all sizes, and in line with its recent launch of inventory tracking, Offline Mode, a customer feedback product, a pre-order for pickup product, partial refunds, an integration with Stitch Labs, a business financing product, and new ways for businesses to see their sales reports in Square Dashboard.
