MoneyGram, Emirates India International Exchange sign money transfer service deal

US-based MoneyGram has signed an agreement with Emirates India International Exchange to provide money transfer services in UAE.

US-based MoneyGram has signed an agreement with Emirates India International Exchange to provide money transfer services in UAE.

The agreement will provide consumers in the UAE with added options to get money to or from friends and family worldwide.

MoneyGram executive vice president for Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East, Grant Lines, said: "The alignment with Emirates India International Exchange gives our customers even more convenient locations to send and receive funds securely and quickly."

Emirates India International Exchange CEO, Mohamed Shattaf, added: "The arrangement with MoneyGram will widen our range of offerings and cash transfer networks to more locations across the globe."

As per a World Bank report, consumers in the UAE sent more than $20.3bn of outward remittances in 2013.
