UK-based Powa Technologies has unveiled its flagship e-commerce product called PowaTag.

The new PowaTag e-commerce application will integrate the elements of mobile payments, QR Codes and audio recognition to offer their solutions for brands and retailers to target customers both online and offline.

PowaTag will soon be featured not only in websites and store products but also in printed publications like magazines and newspapers.

Additionally, discussions are currently underway to put up Beacons in stores which will send shoppers alerts for special details when they pass by the store.

Furthermore, Powa is also tapping the audio and visual sensors in smartphones to let users buy straight from television, YouTube and radio adverts.

Universal Music Group ecommerce director, Stephen Partridge, was quoted by Finextra as saying, "PowaTag will transform the way fans access and purchase music and merchandise from their favourite artists, both online and in the real world.

"We are excited by PowaTag’s instant purchase capabilities and the potential it has to open up additional revenue streams for up and coming and established artists."
