Turkish Economy Bank (TEB) has developed a Google Glass app that will allow its users to find ATMs and branches as well as being reached by credit card campaigns.

The Google Glass app development is part of TEB’s strategy aimed at reaching the wearable tech user, given the mobile banking’s current status.

According to the bank 50m wearable tech devices will be sold in 2013 and will reach 500m sold units in 2018.

This week’s news that Sony has filed a patent application for ‘Smart Wig’ is an example of the new horizons beyond smartwatches.

There are other banks as well employed in adapting to the new trends. Banco Sabadell has opened up to third party developers, one of which has realized an ATM location app and Fidelity Investment is working on a tool that will allow its users to observe the markets.
